Stephen Hanson
Graduating from Art College in Batley, York’s in 1982, Stephen has drawn and painted for a living in the book publishing and film animation business for all of his working life. Most recently he has completed a two-year freelance contract with Aardman Animation in Bristol - creators of Wallace and Gromit - working on two major feature films due for release in 2011.
Alongside this, he has always created artworks for his own pleasure. Stephen's artworks come purely from his imagination and begin with some loose sketches. These are then worked over and gradually refined, creating his own unique world of reality. The themes in his artworks, often featuring animals, echo the positive and negative experiences in life that thankfully usually balance themselves out.
